SARMA believes that without a common body of professional knowledge, efforts to advance the profession will be slow, frustrating, and may end in failure. In order for there to be a sustainable national profession, there needs to be a common base of knowledge that is:

• Documented
• Accepted by most as authoritative
• Available to be taught to others

SARMA created and maintains this wiki as a free service for the benefit of the profession and its practitioners. Security analysts and risk managers are encouraged to contribute in the areas of their experience.
